HAMMAD SHAMIMI

MEMBER, SECRETARY, PRIVATISATION DIVISION

Mr. Hammad Shamimi is a senior officer of Pakistan’s Civil Service with over three decades of distinguished experience in public administration, policy formulation, governance reforms, and project management. He holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Government College Lahore, a degree in Development Studies from Japan, and an MBA in Human Resource Management.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shamimi has held key leadership positions across the Government of Pakistan, contributing significantly to policy planning, institutional development, public sector reforms, and service delivery improvement initiatives. Prior to his appointment as Secretary, Privatisation Division, he served as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Division and the Ministry of Climate Change.

His professional experience also includes assignments with leading international development partners, having served as Consultant to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and as Project Director for programmes supported by the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
